Vol. 11 · Barcelona · Spain
The world's biggest African street dance festival. Movement, music, culture — all in four days.
Who we are
We are an African street dance platform dedicated to giving voice to African and Afro-descendant communities across the world. Through the power of dance, we reclaim our stories, celebrate our roots, and share our culture with authenticity, pride, and unity.
For us, by us.

The programme
Beginner Camp
The Beginner Camp is a separate programme designed for people who are brand new to African street dance. No experience required — just curiosity and a desire to move.
What you get
Guided classes in foundational African street dance styles — taught by top artists in a beginner-friendly format.
Understand where each style comes from — the history, the culture, the community behind the movement.
Join the OYOFE community of dancers from 53+ countries — parties, performances, and pure energy.
Vol. 11 · 2026 Focus
OYOFE Vol. 11 is a tribute to where we all come from.
The Vol. 11 thematic
Dahomey Amazons · Divine feminine power
The Agojie were an all-woman regiment of the Kingdom of Dahomey, in what is now Benin — trained, feared, and written out of most of the histories that followed.
Vol. 11 is built around them. Four days that put the women of this culture at the centre of the floor: who taught us, who carried the styles, who held the community together while the credit did not always go where it was due.

Yes. We are working with the collective Protect Our Dance Floor. After numerous cases of sexual abuse across the dance industry, we believe a festival has a responsibility to be a space where everyone — women especially — feels safe, with clear protocols in place if something does happen.
Protocols are the floor, not the ceiling. The edition also includes seminars and open discussions, so that together we can unpick the mechanisms our societies have carried for years, consciously and unconsciously.
Yes — the volunteer call opens in mid-September. Watch @oyofe_official and this page.
The OYOFE Market is built for emerging brands, products and services rooted in African cultures, sport, health and self-empowerment.
Applications to reserve a spot for this edition open in mid-September.
