Choreo Monsterz
The choreography competition. Two categories — Best Solo and Best Group — one floor and the whole festival watching. Bring something you made.
Choreo Monsterz is run by OYOFE and Afro Dance Blast together.
The rules
Solo
At least one minute, no more than one minute thirty.
Group
Two dancers minimum. At least two minutes, no more than two minutes thirty.
The music
At least 70% African music, whichever category you enter.
The fee
Per dancer, every time. A crew of five pays five times, and every dancer gets their own entry.
On the jury
Yoe Apolinario, in from Los Angeles — Super Bowl LIX, the FIFA World Cup opening, Encanto. She teaches a class of her own on the Sunday.
Two categories
Two separate categories, judged apart. Enter one or both — the fee goes up by the number you enter, not by the one you pick.
- Best Solo — one dancer, 1 to 1½ minutes.
- Best Group — two dancers or more, 2 to 2½ minutes.
The judges
Three of them, and all three judge both categories.

Not competing?
Doors at 6pm, the night from 7pm. A spectator ticket gets you into the ShowOff Night — the showcases, this competition and the OYOFE Awards. Every camp pass already includes it.

Friday 11 December. Doors at 6pm and the night from 7pm, inside the ShowOff Night at Big C Barcelona, Carrer de Llull 121. Come warmed up and bring your music on a phone and on a stick.
